Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. Sarah
is the middle child having an older sister, Natasha Chalke, and one younger,
Piper Chalke. Sarah's acting debut was in City Boy (1992), a movie made for TV.
Following her debut film, Sarah auditioned for the role as Becky on Roseanne
(1988) in 1993. The show was searching for a replacement after Alicia Goranson
quit the show to attend college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995, during
the filming of the 1994-1995 seasons of Roseanne (1988). Sarah also starred
alongside Jim Varney (1994) in Ernest Goes to School (1994). She also appeared
in Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand against Fear(1996). In these films she
played the part of Krista Wilson as a cheerleader. Sarah was asked to be a part
in a show from 1998 called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. It was a year after
Roseanne (1988). It was based on the TV film of the same name which was called
Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) that Sarah was also a part of. Sarah
assumed Becky's (1988) role from Alicia Goranson. She declared that she'd like
to stop acting and attend college. (2001) (1993-1997) She played the older
sister to Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988) However, she's actually younger.
Participated in the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony, where she was presented with an
award for the best single of 1999. September 1999: Appeared at the age of 8 in
Vancouver's stage productions. She is fluent in French and German. She is a
volunteer for the hospice which cares for sick children who are terminally ill.
Chalke loves cooking with her friends (especially Thai or sushi) and plays
guitar and hike, ski (she's an instructor), and kayaking. Her father is a
lawyer, as are both of her parents are mediators. Both operate a child adoption
agency. She traveled with her parents to China two years ago to help coordinate
the adoptions of numerous orphans.
