Milena Govich
Milena Govich, a writer, actor and
musician, has directed numerous episodes on TV including Chicago Med (2015),
The Equalizer (2021), FBI The Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012) and many
more. Milena was the Co-EP/Producing Director of Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI
(2018) and is currently attached to two pilots. Milena was selected as one of
the eight directors in AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women.
Unspeakable was her TV show as well as a short film. It starred Jeff Kober and
Laura Vandervoort The film won the best episodic award at the Seattle
International Film Festival as and the Best Pilot award at SoHo International
Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017 written by Milena Vandervoort)
has been shown all across the nation. It was awarded the title of Best
Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival and Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta
ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award was also given at Sedona International
Film Festival. Milena has acted in over 100 episodes of television acting as an
actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then
as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis
Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. She later became
the only female detective on Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox);
The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family); and Lori
Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has been featured in a variety
of movies such as Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve
Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) with the lead alongside Method Man; as well
as #Lucky Number (2015). Milena is an Norman, Oklahoma native. After graduating
as valedictorian from her high school she then went on to earn a double major
in vocal performances and premed with minors in violin and dance at the
University of Central Oklahoma. She benefited from her classical ballet
training shortly after to make her Broadway debut in the Rob Marshall/Sam
Mendes production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
