Rita Ora Bio
Rita Ora, a British artist and singer. She was born Rita Sahatciu Ora in 1990 in Pristina, Kosovo, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. Besim Sahatciu is the granddaughter of her mother. At age one, her family decided to relocate to the United Kingdom. She was raised in West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School, Earls Court. After that she was able to graduate from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing from a young age.In 2004 she was featured in the British film Spivs. She auditioned for Eurovision The Country That requires You on BBC One to be the British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but then removed herself from the contest after a couple of episodes because she did not feel ready. Ora made her debut music in 2007 when she was featured on the song of Craig David titled "Awkward" Then she made a second appearance in 2008 on "Where’s Your Love" with TinchyStryder. Ora started singing in bars around London. A few days later, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z The A&R team informed Roc Nation about Ora. Ora appeared in Jay-Z's video from 2009 for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z saw Ora and quickly signed her to Roc Nation. She was included in a commercial starring Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik was a pub owner and she started her singing performances from the same bar. Gwen Stefani was her major influence. Her father was a pub owner and she started singing in the same pub. Friends with Kate Moss, and Ed Sheeran.
