Yvonne Joyce Craig (May 16 1936 from 1936 to August 17 in 2015), was an American dancer, actress and choreographer. Craig is most well-known for her roles in the 1960s Batman TV show Batman and Marta the Orion slave girl with green skin, from Star Trek's 1969 episode "Whom Gods Destruction". The Huffington Post called her "a pioneer in female superheroes that were adapted for television." Yvonne Craig was born in Taylorville, Illinois, and was raised in Columbus, Ohio. In 1951 her family moved from Illinois to Dallas. In Dallas, she attended W. H. Adamson High School in Dallas as well as Sunset High School.
